In una pentola larga, mettete la cipolla e ½ tazza di brodo: coprite e fate bollire per 5 minuti, finché la cipolla sia tenera. Aggiungete i pomodori, schiacciandoli con una forchetta, il resto del brodo, una tazza d'acqua e i broccoli; portate a bollore, quindi riducete la fiamma e bollite per 5 minuti, finché i broccoli sono teneri. Versatevi i fagioli, il basilico, la salsa di peperoncino piccante; salate e pepate. Scaldate fino al bollore. Metodo per forno a microonde: in una terrina larga, mettete la cipolla e ½ tazza di brodo: coprite e fate cuocere a potenza alta per 3 minuti. Aggiungete i pomodori, schiacciandoli con una forchetta, e il resto del brodo assieme ad una tazza d’acqua e ai broccoli: coprite e cuocete ad alta potenza per 5 minuti. Versatevi i fagioli, il basilico, la salsa di peperoncino piccante; salate e pepate. Coprite e cuocete ad alta potenza per 3 minuti. Si ottengono 5 porzioni.
